About the Foundation:

The Bellevue Firefighters Community Support Foundation (BFCSF) was chartered in August, 1999.  We are a registered 501 (c) 3, educational organization recognized by the IRS and licensed with the State of Washington as a Charitable Organization.  Our Federal EIN  is: 91-1997619.
Our membership primarily consists of members of the Bellevue Fire Department, although anyone is welcome to help us with our many projects.  We welcome help from anyone and enjoy collaborating with other fire-based philanthropic organizations.

We have two, primary objectives:

  1. Assist firefighters and families in times of crisis.
  2. Better the lives of deserving members of our community, especially children.

We are especially proud to have a long-term relationship with the Youth Eastside Services (YES), Success Program.  Over the past 13 years we have donated hundreds of backpacks, filled with school supplies to deserving children in the Bellevue area.  Additionally we have provided hundreds of meals/gift cards for children and families in the Success Program during the Christmas holiday time.  We also work closely with Bellevue Firefighters Local 1604 and support national firefighter philanthropic charities such as MDA.

The BFCSF is completely dependent on donations in order to carry out our mission and programs.  A majority of our donations come in the form of payroll deductions from benefactors at the City of Bellevue.  Additional money is raised at periodic fundraising events such as the annual Fire Chief Ale Tapping at the Bellevue Rock Bottom Brewery in February and the Fire in the Grass event at the Redhook Brewery in July.

Vision Statement:

Raise-up our personal and professional community one person, one family at time.

Financial Statement:

We value your donations and appreciate the fact that we have been entrusted with your philanthropy dollars.  We make every effort to channel donations directly to our selected projects and work to keep overhead to a minimum.  We have no paid employees and rely on volunteers for accomplishing our outreach programs.
